This multi-week free intensive program supports underserved and underrepresented students interested in pursuing a degree in a STEM field at a college or university. The program creates opportunity to increase literacy in preparation for testing, maximizes options to pursue higher education and ultimately increases the STEM workforce pipeline.
The ACT Preparatory Course, is held in collaboration with The Princeton Review. We will competitively select 35 advanced learners from the Howard County Public School System. Interested students, classified as juniors, will need to respond to a survey that will gauge their interest in STEM and higher education.
Traditionally, we have offered this program as a face-to-face highly personalized experience taught by a qualified instructor at our facility in Columbia, MD. However, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have transitioned this program into an entirely virtual format.
The program will begin in April 2021. More information will be coming shortly on how you can apply and complete the survey.
