The Lunar and Planetary Institute is taking families and students on an adventure. Join us to meet Mars scientist Dr. Candice Bedford and learn all about the Perseverance rover and its journey to Mars. We will also conduct an activity together, geared for families with children ages 7-13.

Registration is free but required. To participate, you will need a computer or tablet with an internet connection, or you can join on a smart phone. We will send additional directions to all who register.

Participating Talent: 




Dr. Candice Bedford is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Lunar and Planetary Institute and NASA Johnson Space Center. She studies sedimentary and volcanic processes that help us understand the ancient and modern geology of Mars. Dr. Bedford is a collaborator on two of the instruments on the Mars Curiosity Rover, and a member of the SAND-E Mars analog mission science team.
